Our Nursery curriculum has been designed by experienced early years specialists and follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. It is structured by half termly topics such as Animals and a weekly key text which we call the ‘Book of the Week’ for example The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. Our curriculum uses the storybook as a stimulus for our teaching, the indoor and outdoor environment and our interactions with children. Through this we can develop a love of reading from an early age, children’s listening skills, creativity, imagination and so much more! We also aim to provide our children with as many experiences as possible to make the learning meaningful and rememberable for our children. This includes baking activities, visits in the local area, looking after chicks and visits from people of our community such as the school nurse.
