Autumn Half Term Update

Last half term in Reception was fantastic. Our topic was about our local area. We went on a trip to St Mary’s Church and we visited Acton Park. When we were at Acton Park we created a map and really thought about if we were turning left and right. In our maths lesson we were focusing on 2D shapes and their properties and numbers to ten. In Literacy we explored a variety texts including The Jolly Postman and The smartest Giant in Town.  We focused on rhyming words and children were endeavoured to write simple sentences. Reception and Nursery worked together on the Nativity. All of the children were able to say their lines, sing songs and remember all of the actions. We were really proud of them ,what a way to end the term!
